A bus driver has been taken to hospital after the vehicle crashed off a road in Paisley.
McGill’s Buses confirmed one of their drivers was taken to the Royal Alexandra Hospital after the crash around 10am on Thursday.
The incident happened on Limecraigs Crescent and it is believed the driver may have taken unwell.
The Scottish Ambulance Service confirmed one ambulance and a special operations team were sent to the scene.
Images on social media showed the number 26 service which had come off the road and through a grassy area.
Only one passenger was on board and was unharmed.
A spokesperson for McGill’s Buses said: “We can confirm one of our vehicles was involved in an incident on Limecraigs Crescent in Paisley on Thursday morning.
“It is believed the driver may have taken unwell and he was taken to hospital following the incident. One passenger was on board who was unharmed and no other injuries were reported.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 10am on Thursday, October 1, 2026, we were called to a report of a crash on Limecraigs Crescent, Paisley.
“The driver was taken to hospital.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call on Thursday to attend an incident on Limecraigs Crescent in Paisley.
“We dispatched one ambulance and our special operations team to the scene. We transported one male patient to Royal Alexandra Hospital.”
