A burst pipe has left 200 residents facing supply issues after a fountain of water was seen soaring into the sky.
A barrier has been erected along Cowcaddens Road behind Buchanan Bus Station in Glasgow, as water was seen flooding the area at around 9am on Tuesday.
Scottish Water has apologised to customers and said the burst main was caused by contractor damage, with residents affected and traffic disrupted as they carry out emergency repairs.
A spokesperson said: “We have located a fault in our network in the Glasgow, G4 area and our team are in the process of arranging a repair.
“The fault is located on Cowcaddens Road at the junction with North Hanover Street. Please be advised that this may result in some traffic disruption while preparations for the repair are under way.
“We will provide an estimated repair time once the work is under way. We appreciate your cooperation during this period.”
