Train services across West Dunbartonshire are subject to delay or cancellations after a fault on the line.
At 4.08pm on Saturday, the Airdrie service developed a fault at Balloch, meaning services were cancelled, delayed or revised.
It was subsequently confirmed that there was a broken down train between the stations.
At 5.24pm, the rail provider confirmed that the broken down train was removed and services will begin to return to normal but there may still be some changes to services.
Scotrail has urged passengers to plan their journeys ahead of time following the issue.
A spokesperson said: “Balloch to Airdrie service has developed a fault at Balloch. Staff on board are currently trying to fix the issue. We’ll keep you updated.
“Train services between Airdrie and Balloch will be cancelled, delayed or revised due to a train fault.
“Helensburgh Central to Edinburgh services are running as normal.
“Airdrie to Balloch services are now scheduled to run following the removal of the broken-down train, but may still be subject to cancellation, delay or revision. Please check your journey on our app or website for live service information.”
