A 13-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being found seriously injured on a street in West Dunbartonshire.
Emergency services were called to the Muir Road area of Dumbarton at around 3.30pm on Wednesday.
A 13-year-old boy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow.
His condition is described as serious but stable and enquiries remain ongoing at this time.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.30pm on Wednesday, 11 June, we received a report of a person found injured in the Muir Road area of Dumbarton.
“Emergency services attended, and a 13-year-old boy was taken to the Royal Hospital for Children in Glasgow. Hospital staff describe his injuries as serious but stable.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
