A hunt has been launched for a gang of thieves after boxes of Botox and diabetic weight loss solution were stolen in East Kilbride.
Police were called to a shop on Cain Court in the early hours of Monday after a break-in.
Boxes of Botox and boxes of a diabetic weight loss solution, known as Wegovy, were stolen in the raid with police warning the public that they could face “serious, adverse health risks” if misused.
Anyone who is offered Wegovy for sale or finds the items is asked to contact police immediately.
Investigations so far have established that a group of five figures dressed in black, as well as a white Ford Transit van, were seen at the premises.
Detectives are continuing to review CCTV footage from in and around the area for any additional information on the suspects or the Transit van.
Detective inspector Scott Robertson said: “I would appeal to anyone who has doorbell or dash cam recording equipment to check their footage.
“It’s possible it has picked up the van when it’s been leaving the location or driving in the surrounding area. I would also ask motorists who were in and around the location to check for any images which could assist in our ongoing inquiries.
“Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland quoting incident number 0527 of April 29, 2024. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can give information anonymously.”
