A group of bottlenose dolphins were spotted leaping out of the River Clyde over the weekend.

The pod of sea creatures put on a show near Greenock on Monday, with a number spotted breaching the water.

A group of the dolphins were also seen riding the bow of the Waverley – the oldest seagoing paddle steamer in the world.

Excited onlookers snapped pictures and videos of the animals at Helensburgh and Arran on Saturday, before they were again spotted along Greenock’s Esplanade on Monday.
