A body has been recovered from a river amid the search for a missing man from West Dunbartonshire.

Police confirmed the body was discovered in the River Leven around 9.20am on Saturday.

The body is yet to be formally identified but police said the family of Liam Miller has been made aware.

The force added the death is not being treated as “suspicious” and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Liam Miller was last seen around 2am on Main Street in Renton on Wednesday.

He is described as around 6ft with brown hair and stubble. He was last seen wearing a dark coloured t-shirt, jogging bottoms and grey Nike Air Max trainers.
