Body pulled from river in search for missing woman

A body has been pulled from the River Clyde in the search for a missing Glasgow woman.

Emily Hope, 22, was seen leaving Mango nightclub on Sauchiehall Street in the city centre around 2am on Saturday, February 22.

Her personal items were found near the river and police confirmed last month a CCTV sighting showed her near the Tradeston Bridge.

Emily never returned home to her address in Jordanhill and police have confirmed a body has been recovered from the water at the SSE Hydro.

Formal identification has yet to take place but Emily’s family have been informed.

There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
