Body of woman recovered from River Clyde near beach

The body of a woman has been recovered from the River Clyde near Erskine beach.

Police confirmed officers were called to reports of a body found in the river near Boden Boo around 12.20pm on Thursday, February 19.

The death of the 45-year-old woman is not being treated as suspicious, officers said. It is understood the woman’s next of kin is aware.

A report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.

A Police Scotland statement read: “Around 12.20pm on Thursday, February 19, 2026, we were called to a report of a body found in the River Clyde at Erskine.

“The death of the 45-year-old woman is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be forwarded to the Procurator Fiscal.”
