The body of a man has been pulled from a river in Glasgow after a search operation was carried out.
Emergency services were called to Jamaica Street at around 5.25pm following reports of a person in the River Clyde.
Officers are now working to identify the man discovered in the water.
The death is being treated as unexplained, and enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident are still ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.25pm on Thursday, December 5, police were called to a report of someone in the River Clyde near Jamaica Street, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended, and searches were carried out. The body of a man was later recovered from the water.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, and enquiries are ongoing to identify him and establish the full circumstances.”
