The body of a man has been found by police searching for Peter Doherty.
Officers discovered the body in the Greenhill Road area of Paisley at around 12.40pm on Tuesday, May 10.
Formal identification has yet to take place, however the family of Peter Doherty, who was reported missing from Govan on April 25, has been made aware.
The death is being treated as unexplained, but there is not believed to be any suspicious circumstances, police have said.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
