The body of a teenage boy has been pulled from a river in Glasgow following a major search.
Emergency crews and a police helicopter raced to the River Kelvin near Maryhill Road on Saturday (July 12) after receiving reports of a person in the water at around 6.40pm.
The body of a 15-year-old was recovered around five hours later.
Police Scotland say inquiries into his death are ongoing, though it is not being treated as suspicious.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 6.40pm on Saturday, 12 July, 2025, a search and rescue operation was launched following a report of a 15-year-old male in the River Kelvin, near Maryhill Road, Glasgow.
“Emergency services attended and around 11.30pm the body of a male was recovered from the water.
“Enquiries are ongoing, however, the death is not being treated as suspicious.”
