A body has been found in the search for a woman who went missing a month ago following an incident in Glasgow’s River Kelvin.
Emergency services had been called to a report of concern for two people in the water near to Eldon Street shortly before 6pm on October 11.
A man was rescued by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment while searches for the woman continued.
Kayakers had previously been seen searching the River Kelvin for the missing woman.
Police searching for the 58-year-old confirmed that the body of a woman was recovered from the river shortly before 12.30pm on Friday, November 10.
Formal identification is still to take place however the woman’s family have been informed.
There are no apparent suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
