A body found on the UK’s highest mountain has been confirmed as missing hillwalker Sarah Buick.
Police Scotland said formal identification has taken place, establishing that it is the body of the 24-year-old from Dundee.
The experienced hillwalker had hiked from the Lower Falls area of Glen Nevis before going missing.
She took a selfie at the summit of Ben Nevis at around 5am on Tuesday, June 22 but had not been seen or heard from since.
Police launched a search covering the area around the mountain and last week announced that a body of a woman had been discovered.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said there are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal in due course.
