A body has been found on a beachfront during the search for a missing man last seen a month ago.
Police confirmed the discovery had been made between Rosneath Point, Rosneath and Kilcreggan at around 12.10pm on Sunday.
While formal identification is yet to take place, the family of local man George Sutherland have been made aware.
Mr Sutherland, 45, was last seen near Dalreoch train station in Dumbarton on Sunday, March 8.
A police spokesperson said: “Formal identification is yet to take place and a post mortem examination will be carried out in due course to establish the exact cause of death.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious.”
