Nico McCann was last seen in Whiterigg Place around 11.15pm on Friday.
The body of a man was discovered in a wooded area at the rear of Broompark Crescent around 1pm on Saturday.
Police confirmed that the body was formally identified as the missing 20-year-old.
The force added that there are “not believed to be any suspicious circumstances” surrounding the death.
A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
