Body found in search for missing father who disappeared two weeks ago

A body has been found in the search for an Irvine man who has been missing for more than two weeks.

Evan Reid, 31, was last seen on CCTV footage in the Inchinnan Road area of Paisley, at around 10.06pm on Saturday, March 25.

Police confirmed that a body had been found in the White Cart Water near Arran Avenue in Paisley, around 9.55am on Monday.

Formal identification has not taken place yet, however Mr Reid’s family has been informed.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said that there are no apparent suspicious circumstances, and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
