A body recovered from Loch Lomond is believed to belong to the founder of a local hotel.
Alan Colquhoun, who founded the four-star hotel Lodge on Loch Lomond in Luss in 1992, is said to have fallen from a boat into the water on Thursday.
A major search was launched involving police and Coastguard before a body believed to be the 83-year-old was discovered near the Isle of Inchlonaig on Sunday.
Formal identification is still to take place, but Mr Colquhoun’s family has been informed.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Mr Colquhoun’s son Niall and daughter-in-law Ann now run the beachfront hotel, which boasts panoramic views over the loch.
