A body found in a harbour has been formally identified as that of a missing teenager.
The discovery was made in Stranraer harbour in Dumfries and Galloway at around 11.50am on Wednesday.
Police Scotland said they can now confirm the remains are those of Evan Stewart, 18, who was reported missing from his home in the town on Sunday, February 9.
A post-mortem examination has still to take place but the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A report has been submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
