A body has been found in the search for a pensioner who went missing from an Inverclyde pub more than two months ago.
Patrick Clark, 70, was last seen at Lyle’s pub on Shore Street, Gourock, around 12.10am on January 31.
Following extensive searches by police and the community, at around 12pm on Wednesday April 5, the body of a man was discovered within the town’s Mile Burn.
Although formal identification has still to take place, Mr Clark’s family has been informed.
Police said that there appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
