Police ScotlandA body has been found during the search for a missing man who disappeared last Thursday.
Emergency services were alerted to the discovery of a body on Atholl Road in Pitlochry at around 1.10pm on Sunday.
Formal identification is still to take place but the family of Thom Kane, from Greenock, has been notified.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report is due to be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a body having been found in the Atholl Road area of Pitlochry, around 1.10pm on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
“Formal identification has still to take place however the family of Thom Kane, who was reported missing from Greenock, has been informed.
“There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
