A body has been found in an Ayrshire forest in the search for missing man Mark Goldie.
The 51-year-old was reported missing from West Kilbride on Tuesday, November 8.
Police have now confirmed that officers carrying out searches for Mr Goldie have found a body in Carrick Forrest near Loch Doon in South Ayrshire on Wednesday.
The family of Mr Goldie have been made aware of the discovery.
In a statement, Ayrshire Police said: “The body of a man has been found within Carrick Forest near Loch Doon around 3.55pm on Wednesday, November 9.
“Family of 51-year-old Mark Goldie reported missing from West Kilbride, has been made aware. The death is unexplained but not believed to be suspicious.”
