A primary school in East Renfrewshire was selected out of more than 40,000 schools to win a visit from the nation’s favourite PE teacher – Joe Wicks.
Pupils from Kirkhill Primary in Newton Mearns took part in a special gym class on Monday morning and got the chance to put their questions to the man himself.
The fitness coach also gave a reading of his new picture book – which aims to get families moving together.
Wicks told STV News: “It’s really about everything I believe in, so my mission around, getting kids active, getting kids connecting between fitness and movement and their energy and how they feel, how it really changes their mental health.
“So it’s really about fun, adventure, family and just like getting outside and having fun together.”
He added: “I don’t want to stand in front of a tripod and a camera.
“I want to come out and meet kids and meet families and connect with the people that really enjoy what I do.
“If I can get children into that mindset of exercise to feel good, you can change the way you feel, you can
really be a happier little human being.
“That’s an important message to give kids.”
