A motorcyclist has died at the scene of a crash after his bike collided with a tractor in Ayrshire.
The fatal smash on the B778 near to North Kilbride Lodge, near Stewarton, happened around 11.10am on Saturday.
The motorcyclist died at the scene and police say his next of kin have been informed.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses following the collision.
Police Sergeant Kevin Blackley of the Road Policing Unit in Ayrshire said: “Our enquiries are continuing into the full circumstances surrounding this collision and our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who died.
“I would ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or who may have any relevant dash-cam footage, to please contact us as soon as possible.
“The road was closed for around six hours with diversions in place, and I would like to thank the public for their patience while emergency services attended.
“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference number 1466 of 17 July.”
