An elderly couple have died at the scene of a one-vehicle crash in Ayrshire.
The 81-year-old man and 70-year-old woman were in a silver Astra car on Barony Road in Auchinleck when it was involved in a smash at around 9.55am on Friday.
Police are appealing for information as they look to establish the full circumstances of the incident that took place.
Emergency services attended and both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers investigating the incident are asking witnesses to come forward.
Sergeant Craig Beaver said: “Our thoughts are very much with the family and friends of the couple who died and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of what happened.
“We are appealing to anyone with information that could help with our investigation.
“In particular, if you have dash-cam footage that could assist, please get in touch.”
