'Avoid the area': Properties evacuated and roads closed after fire 

Properties in Alloa have been evacuated and road closures are in place following a fire.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 5am on Sunday.

It is unknown if anyone is injured as a result of the blaze.

A small number of neighbouring properties were evacuated and the public are asked to avoid the area at this time.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said two appliances were still at the scene at 11am, down from four earlier in the morning.

A police spokesperson said: “Primrose Street and Primrose Place in Alloa are currently closed following a fire at a property, which was reported around 5am on Sunday, 2 February, 2025.

“A small number of neighbouring properties were evacuated and emergency services remain at the scene.

“The public are asked to avoid the area at this time.”
