Audi that crashed into parked car in Glasgow was stolen from Edinburgh

The white Audi Q7 was found in Springburn after someone stole it from West Calder.

An SUV involved in a Glasgow crash had been stolen from West Lothian just hours earlier.

A blue Audi Q series entered Mossend Gardens, West Calder at around 4am on Tuesday.

The male thief got out of the vehicle before walking into a house and stealing the keys to a white Audi Q7.

Almost two hours later, at around 5.50am, officers were alerted to a car crash in Glasgow after the white car had crashed into a parked car on Burnbrae Street, Springburn.

Detective Constable Adam Gow of CID in West Lothian said: “We are appealing to anyone who may information as to who stole the vehicle from West Calder, or who witnessed the crash in Glasgow to come forward.

“If you were in these areas and have private CCTV or captured anything on dash cam footage, I would ask that you get in touch.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 0453 of July 26, 2022.”
