A man has been mowed down by a car during a deliberate attack in North Lanarkshire.

Suspects targeted the 57-year-old man in Doune Terrace, Coatbridge, near the roundabout at Lomond Road on Sunday night.

The dark-coloured saloon car ploughed into the man around 11pm.

“We are asking anyone in the area at the time and may have dash-cam footage of the incident, or of the car involved, to get in touch. Anyone else that has information that could help with our investigation is also asked to call us.

“If you can help please contact us via 101, quoting incident number 3644 of Sunday, January 23, 2022, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
