Attempted murder probe launched after man found with serious injuries

Police have launched an attempted murder investigation after a man was found with life threatening injuries on a street in Paisley.

Officers were called to Ferguslie Park Avenue at the junction with Barochan Way, after receiving reports of a 43-year-old being found with serious injuries.

Emergency services attended and the man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Medical staff have described his condition as critical.

An investigation has been launched into the incident and officers are appealing for anyone with any information to come forward.

Detective sergeant Buxton of Paisley CID said: “We are appealing to members of the public who witnessed the man being attacked to get in touch with officers.

“We also ask that drivers with DashCam footage to pass it on to police.

“Anyone with information should contact police on 101 or anonymously via Crimestoppers 0800 555 111 quoting Police Incident 3843 of June 10, 2022.”
