A man has been arrested in connection with an alleged hit-and-run murder bid in South Lanarkshire.
The incident, which police are treating as attempted murder, happened in Anderson Gardens, Blantyre, at around 7.40am on Friday.
A 47-year-old man suffered life threatening injuries after being struck by a silver Peugeot.
A 37-year-old man has now been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “He is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court on Friday and a full report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
