A man has been arrested after armed police stormed a street following reports of a gun.
Emergency services were called to the Elphinstone Crescent area of East Kilbride, South Lanarkshire, at around 4.30pm on Thursday.
Police said they received a report of a man in possession of a firearm.
A force spokesperson said: “Officers, including specialist firearms officers, attended and a 57-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident.
“No one was injured and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
