A man has been left injured following a two-vehicle crash in Glasgow city centre.

The incident took place on the city’s St Vincent Street at its junction with Newton Street on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to the scene just after 5pm and the injured man was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he is being treated.

Medical staff have described his injuries as “non-life threatening”.

Police were also in attendance and a 50-year-old man was charged in connection with road traffic offences.

Several fire engines, ambulances and police cars were pictured at the scene and St Vincent Street was closed westbound on Sunday night.

It has now reopened.
