A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a 40-year-old in South Lanarkshire.
Emergency services were called to Glen Avenue in Larkhall, near Robert Smillie Memorial Primary School, at around 10.30pm on Friday night following a report of a man with serious injuries.
The man, who has been named by police as David Devine, was taken to the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank and died on Sunday, August 29.
Mr Devine’s mother said: “We are in deep mourning because of the tragic and sudden loss of my darling son. I sincerely request that our privacy is respected at this time.”
A 49-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death.
