A man has been arrested after armed police descended on a property in East Ayrshire after a man was injured and taken to hospital.
Firearms officers were called around 8.05am on Saturday to a report of a man having been injured at a property on Cross Street in Galston.
The 55-year-old was taken to hospital for treatment.
Firearms officers attended the same property for a subsequent disturbance involving a second man.
A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with the disturbance.
Police said the incident was contained, and officers will remain in the area as enquiries are said to be ongoing.
A Police Scotland statement read: “A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a disturbance at a a property in Galston.
“Around 8.05am on Saturday, June 28, 2025 we received a report of a 55-year-old man having been injured in Cross Street.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment and enquiries are ongoing.
“Officers attended at the property where there was a subsequent disturbance involving a second man.
“The 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the disturbance and enquiries are ongoing.
“Officers will remain in the area while the investigation continues and and anyone with concerns can approach them.”
