A man has been arrested after ‘armed police’ were called to an incident which saw two others injured at a park in Glasgow.
Police were made aware of two men having been found injured in the Sandyhills Park area of Glasgow at around 6.30pm on Tuesday, September 13.
The two men, who were aged 37 and 41, were taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment while a 46-year-old man was arrested in connection with the incident.
Images posted on a local Facebook page showed several vehicles in attendance and ‘armed police’ at the scene.
Police confirmed that the incident was isolated and there is no risk to the wider public, but enquiries were ongoing.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police were made aware of two men having been found injured in the Sandyhills Park area of Glasgow around 6.30pm on Tuesday, 13 September, 2022.
“The two men, aged 37 and 41, have been taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment.
“A 46-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.
“This is an isolated incident and there is no risk to the wider public.”
