Are Oasis set to play Celtic Park? Fans spot clues in cryptic chip shop video

Oasis have heightened speculation they will play at Celtic Park after fans spotted clues from a cryptic teaser video in a chip shop.

The Gallagher brothers have reportedly been in negotiations for a new tour in 2027, following the success of their reunion in 2025.

It has been speculated that the band would headline up to five concerts in Scotland, including at the stadium in the East End of Glasgow.

Now, fans have uncovered a set of cryptic clues in the band’s latest promo video, suggesting this might be true.

Among the clues is an advert for a “£55.84 family chippy bundle” and a poster for radio station “Sol FM 98 92”.

Altogether, the numbers spell out 55.849892N – the latitude of Celtic Park.

In the video, there is also a sticker on the fridge saying the chiller should be kept at -4, while another poster says the daily special is priced at £2.05. There is also a taxi number with the area code 638.

These numbers together are -4.205638W, which is Celtic Park’s longitude.

Other clues include Scottish actor Robert Carlyle, who features in the video for Oasis song, Little by Little, which features on a TV in the background.

The chip shop fridge is filled with Irn Bru and other AG Barr brands, and one of the boys hands over a Mars Bar to be deep-fried, which is a famous Scottish delicacy.

The speculation comes after Liam Gallagher fuelled rumours of Glasgow gigs in May, after replying to a fan on X who asked: “How are you feeling about playing Celtic Park btw?”

He went on to say, “How are you feeling about us possibly playing Celtic Park?”

An announcement of a tour, which is also rumoured to feature stops in Manchester and at Knebworth, is rumoured to coincide with the release of Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger, a documentary covering the band’s UK reunion tour.

Around 200,000 fans gathered in Edinburgh last August as Oasis performed in the city as part of the highly anticipated reunion.

The Mancunian rockers returned to Scotland for the first time in 16 years for three sold-out shows at Murrayfield.
