Appeal launched to trace man after 18-year-old woman attacked at Glasgow’s Savoy nightclub Police Scotland

CCTV images of a man police believe may be able to assist with an investigation into a serious assault of an 18-year-old woman have been released.

At around 1.10am on Monday, October 18, 2021 a serious assault happened within the Savoy nightclub on Glasgow’s Sauchiehall street at around 1.10am.

An 18-year-old woman was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment and was later released.

Police believe the man in the photos may be able to assist in their enquiries.

He is described as being between 25 and 30 years old, around 5ft 10in in height with a stocky build.

He has short, dark hair and was wearing a grey and black t-shirt with dark trousers and trainers.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

Detective constable Stuart Mills, Greater Glasgow CID, said: “It is believed the man in the photos may be able to assist with our enquiries.

“He is described as being between 25-to 30 years old, around 5ft 10in in height with a stocky build.

“He has short, dark hair and was wearing a grey and black t-shirt with dark trousers and trainers.

“I am appealing to the man or anyone who may recognise him to please contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting reference 0196 of October 18.

“Alternatively, calls can be made anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
