An appeal has been launched after a house was left damaged following an attempted car fire in Glasgow.

Emergency services were called to reports of a blaze within a driveway in Tormusk Drive, Castlemilk, at around 1.30am on Sunday.

Early enquiries indicate that a BMW within the driveway was the target, but brickwork to the house was damaged after the garden gate caught fire.

No-one was injured in the incident.

Detective constable Declan Quinn-Thomas said: “I am appealing to local residents who may have seen or heard anything to contact us.

“You may have noticed something suspicious or saw someone hanging around, any small piece of information could prove vital so please do pass it on.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 0375 of March 17, 2024.
