Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a cyclist was knocked down by a bus outside a shopping destination in West Lothian.

The collision happened on Almondvale Avenue, which runs between Livingston Designer Outlet and The Centre, Livingston, at around 7.45pm on Friday.

The 21-year-old male cyclist was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

Sergeant Stephen Quinn said: “We are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision and who has not spoken to officers to come forward.

“We are also appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time and who has dashcam footage or any other information which may assist to get in touch.”
