A cat owner is being hunted by a charity after the pet was left on a train.
The black and white cat was found in a blue carrier on the Drumry to Balloch service on Monday.
It was taken off the train at Dumbarton Central on arrival at 12.07pm.
The cat is now being looked after at the Scottish SPCA’s Dunbartonshire and West of Scotland centre.
Assistant manager Kim Mackrell is appealing for the owner to come forward.
She said: “The cat was found in a blue carrier.
“Someone may have unintentionally left the feline behind. She was found tucked underneath a seat.
“There is no way of telling how long she was left for. We are just thankful that she was found.
“We are keen to trace the owner as soon as possible.”
If you recognise the cat, call the Scottish SPCA’s confidential helpline on 03000 999 999.
