An appeal has been launched after two people on a boat were seen towing away a couple of jet skis on Loch Lomond.

The theft occurred sometime between 11.15pm and 11.45pm on June 19, from the Auchenheglish Lodges jetty on the loch.

Police enquiries have found that the jet skis were towed away by two people on a small white boat towards the Inchmurrin Slip.

The jet skis taken were one blue and yellow Seadoo wake pro 2030 jet ski (Serial ref: YDV36686LO21) and one brown Seadoo GTX 300 jet ski (Serial ref: YDV20435D818).

Detective Sergeant Stuart Lindsay, of Clydebank Police Station, said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and I would urge anyone with information to come forward.

“We would be keen to speak with anyone who believes they may have seen the boat or any jet skis on the water after 11pm on the evening of Monday, June 19 into the early hours of the morning on Tuesday 20 June.

“I would also ask anyone in the local area with CCTV or dashcam footage or anyone who was driving on the A82 who observed any jet skis being towed by a vehicle to get in touch.”

Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 0709 of June 20, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
