An activist is rocking around the Christmas tree for 24 hours to raise money for warm banks.
Kate Deeming is dancing for a full day while dressed as a tree around the south side of Glasgow.
She wants to help raise funds for warm banks – places where people struggling with the soaring cost of living can go for food and heating.
Three hours into the challenge, she told STV News: “I feel good… perky.
‘I’m pacing myself – it’s a marathon, it’s not a sprint. By hour 23, I’m going to be tired, and the last thing we want is an injured Christmas tree. That would totally kill the vibe.”
Kate danced through a frosty night, raising money for the Pollokshields Community Food Point, which aims to set up a weekly social gathering where members of the community can meet up, make new friends and build connections.
“I have really good support from across the community to give me sandwiches, tea cakes and food,” Kate said.
“I have people who said they’re coming at 1am and throughout the night people are going to be popping by.”
