The A85 road at Glenogle has been closed in both directions due a crash involving a broken down bus.
Traffic Scotland confirmed the closure of the road around 5pm on Saturday.
Drivers have been advised to use alternative routes where possible and plan for extra time on their journeys.
It has not been confirmed how many vehicles were involved in the crash or whether anyone has been injured.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The A85 near Glenogle is closed following a broken down bus and subsequent crash which was reported to police around 4.35pm.
“Drivers are urged to avoid the area and use an alternative route as long delays are expected until recovery is arranged.”
The news comes as Scottish roads have been plunged into chaos due to treacherous conditions on the roads.
The Met Office warned drivers to take care after issuing multiple weather warnings for snow, rain and ice across the country.
Drivers were told to expect road delays to continue with the likelihood of stranded vehicles and passengers.
The agency also warned that the delays will also affect rail and air travel throughout the duration of the warning.
