A major road has been closed in both directions due to a collision involving three cars near a church in Dumfries and Galloway.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that the A77 in Cairnryan was closed in both directions shortly before 11am on Wednesday due to a collision near Glenapp Church.
Drivers are being asked to avoid the area at this time.
It has not yet been confirmed whether anyone was injured as a result.
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 10.34am to reports of a road traffic collision involving three cars on the A77 near Cairnryan.
“Operations Control mobilised three fire engines and a specialist appliance to the scene.
“Crews left after ensuring the area was made safe.”
