A major road has been closed after a rush hour crash involving two vehicles in North Ayrshire.

Police confirmed the crash happened on the A760 between Largs and Kilbirnie around 5.10pm on Tuesday.

The incident involved two vehicles. It has not been confirmed whether there have been any injuries.

Drivers have been urged to avoid the area.
