Firefighters are battling a blaze at an underground power station in Argyll.

Emergency services were called to Nant near Kilchrenan at 4.20am on Thursday.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the fire began in an electrical transformer outside the building.

Two appliances were still at the scene at 8am. Nant is an underground hydroelectric facility fed by Loch Nant, capable of producing 15MW of power.
