The Prime Minister has pledged the UK Government will help in the case of a young Scottish mother who has been missing from her home in Spain since November.

Lisa Brown, 32, from Alexandria in West Dunbartonshire, went missing on Wednesday November 4 from her home in Cadiz, in the south of Spain.

West Dunbartonshire MP Martin Docherty raised the issue at Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday, calling for everything possible to be done for Ms Brown's family to receive answers.

The Prime Minister said: "I will certainly look into this case and make sure, after [Mr Docherty] has raised it so clearly, that the Europe minister meets with him to make sure that everything is done for Lisa's family that's possible."

Members of Ms Brown's family have flown out to Spain and issued online appeals for her safe return. A picture of Ms Brown has also been posted on a Spanish missing persons' website.

Earlier this week, Ms Brown's brother Craig Douglas urged her boyfriend, Simon Corner, to come forward and help police with the search to uncover her whereabouts.

Mr Corner has previously said he has nothing to hide and would help with the search.
