Secondary pupils at Clyde Valley High School will move in to their new £27m building on Thursday.

The first phase of the project to build the new school in Wishaw, North Lanarkshire has been completed, with pupils and staff due to move into their new building.

Work will shortly start on the demolition of the old school and allow the second phase of the project to begin. The new campus will be the first all-through school in North Lanarkshire, with accommodation for nursery, primary and secondary pupils.

The secondary school will have a roll of 750 pupils. There will also be a primary school for almost 200 pupils from the amalgamated Castelhill and Overtown Primary Schools.

It is hoped the primary school will be complete in June 2016.
