Man arrested after shopkeeper 'shot in leg during attempted robbery'
Police have arrested a 25-year-old man in connection with firearm incident at shop in Yoker.
A man has been arrested after a young shopkeeper was shot during an alleged robbery bid.
A 23-year-old man was left with a wound to his leg and needed emergency surgery after the incident at a convenience store in Yoker, Glasgow on Sunday.
He was targeted at the KOF Convenience Store on Dumbarton Road shop at around 11.20am.
A 25-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "A 25 year old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the incident. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
