A pair of pedestrians were removed from the Kingston Bridge by police after being spotted walking down the M8.

The two men were seen walking along the motorway in Glasgow shortly before midday on Monday.

Police were called and removed them from the bridge after they were spotted on CCTV cameras.

Traffic Scotland tweeted an image of the men and said: "J20 Kingston Bridge-2 pedestrians making us very nervous walking by lane 1! Police en-route

"J20 - Pedestrians have been picked up by police and are now off the live lanes, scary & silly place to walk."

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 11.35am, police received a report of two men walking along the Kingston Bridge southbound on the M8.

"Officers attended and the two men have been removed from the motorway."
